WHO WE ARE

Our Roots Run Deep (No Pun Intended)

Gulf Coast TAPPI is a not for profit, volunteer-led association promoting the paper and pulp industries. Our members are comprised of engineers, managers, scientists, academics, suppliers and others from around the world. Our Roots Run Deep. Gulf Coast TAPPI has been providing technical driven programs to the gulf coast region since 1958. We have relationships with Auburn University and Mississippi State University with our sponsored Student Chapters.

Innovation

Our focus has always been on emerging technologies and driving innovation for the paper and packaging industry. Yet, we are so much more. Our growing international membership ranks include rising stars in bioenergy and biofuels, renewable chemicals, sustainability, and nanotechnology areas.

Networking

Gulf Coast TAPPI is focused on growing our network with other professionals in our region. We have three conferences throughout the year aimed at enhancing our members’ skill set in the industry, discussing new practices and technologies. Our Annual meeting is typically held in Destin, FL in early June. Our Fall meeting is held in association with the Auburn Pulp and Paper Foundation at Auburn University. And, our Winter meeting rotates and partners with local mills to expose our members to new and exciting changes in the industry.
